Want to show a film for an event outside of class? In order to ensure your screening is copyright compliant, please email media@capilanou.ca. Screenings inside the classroom or course context are covered - no need to contact us for these.

Please note that the Copyright Act's Fair Dealing exemption does not cover the screenings of films by societies, clubs, and other organizations on campus (Ex. CSU, student groups, student societies). These screenings require Public Performance Rights (PPR). In cases where it is not possible to obtain these rights, it will not be legal to show the film during events that take place outside of a class context.
