Google Search Commands

Did you know you can use search commands within Google to have more control over your results? Here's a few that may be helpful for you.

Search Command What it does Example
site: site: in front of a web address tells Google to search within a specific website site:canada.ca
filtetype: filetype:pdf tells Google to only bring back PDF results filetype:pdf
OR  OR between search words in Google works the same as it does in the library's databases and tells Google to find either term.  private OR public
