Part 1 of Capilano University's Indigenous Resource Guide

Reflection Questions

Questions to consider when creating your own positionality/introduction statement:

  • How will you acknowledge your position or identity in relation to the work that you’re doing?
  • Are you able to share about your own ancestry? Consider how this may inform/impact your current thinking and work.
  • Can you provide more context (e.g. Is there an experience that led you to this work/ research?).
  • What is motivating you to do this work?
  • What is your call to action?
