Below is a video that covers the basics of finding and using databases that are specific to research in Geography and the Social Sciences in general. The videos will cover three databases: Canadian Business and Current Affairs (CBCA), iPortal and SAGE Humanities and Social Science Index. The CBCA is excellent for finding peer reviewed (scholarly articles) as well as magazine and newspaper articles. iPortal is an excellent source for finding articles that have an Indigenous focus and SAGE is excellent for larger social issues. You may find it useful for your assignment to use one of these focused databases as your essay topics are focused on Canada and some of the social, environmental and political issues that Canada faces.
