Black Lives Matter Canada : A Call for Racial Equality : The death of George Floyd in May 2020 during an arrest in Minneapolis led to widespread protests across the U.S. and around the globe, with calls for an end to racial inequality and police violence against Black people. In Canada, thousands marched under the banner of Black Lives Matter, demanding an end to racism here too. Those protests highlighted the social injustices still prevalent in our police forces, corporations, even playgrounds. Will Floyd’s death bring about much needed change here?

Black Lives Matter: The Disruptors It grew in just a couple of years from a hashtag to a powerful movement that has taken on police shootings of black people and is defiantly challenging the political establishment.
